Just got a heads-up from photographer Joe Hamilton who caught this on the Flamboro website (the one that's still up). I guess it's only fitting to end the soggy Ontario short track season with a rainout. Sigh.

Oktoberfest Classic Features Cancelled
Dear Race Fans, Competitors and Sponsors
It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that we will be unable to run the Oktoberfest second day events this year. Due to the enormous amount of rain in the past month, the pits and parking lot are in a flooded condition, and it is impossible to stage the event. Several of the Series are unable to return past this weekend, so it is not possible to reschedule to a later date. Any person that has a two day ticket for this event may use the ticket for entrance at the beginning of the 2007 season. I am very sorry for any inconvenience. I hope to see you all in 2007. Lets hope it will be a much drier season."
