Merrittville Speedway: Lucas Oil signs on as divisional sponsor of the NYDCA Open Wheel Lites

Thorold, Ontario … “What can I say,” relates New York Dwarf Car Association President Bruce Mason, “ it really says something about our club to announce that Lucas Oil is joining us as Divisional Sponsor … our weekly car counts … point fund and purses are the envy of other groups across North America.”

Merrittville Speedway recently announced that Lucas Oil will be the 2007 Divisional Sponsor of the NYDCA Open Wheel Lites, in addition to the 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Shootout Series for Sportsmen and 358 Modifieds.

“Each NYDCA member will share in it,” boasts Mason, adding, “each feature winner throughout the season will also receive a custom designed award as well.”

Lucas Oil Products is one of the fastest growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry featuring a premium line of oils, greases and problem-solving additives.

Through innovative product research and development, along with aggressive marketing programs, Lucas Oil Products has established itself as the top selling additive in the industry.

Lucas Oil Products was established by Forrest Lucas in 1989 in the United States and wasn’t introduced in Canada until 1997.

Each week the field is split between the Classic Coupes and Coach body style of the pre-war years and the newer Mod Lite versions that resemble today’s Sportsmen and 358 Modified styles.

“We’re really excited about what Lucas Oil will bring in 2007,” adds (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, “ the NYDCA should be proud of their efforts … the Dwarf Cars and Mod Lites have their own following and they continue to bring new bring new drivers to the sport of all ages.”

The New York Dwarf Car Association and the Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lites are one of 5 divisions that will make up Merrittville Speedway’s 2007 Dirt Weekly Racing Series schedule.
