August 23rd, 2006, Fredericton, NB – Once a season the ladies get their night to shine. This Saturday, under the lights, the girls get to show the boys how it’s done. Due to poor weather last week and the cancellation of their event, Fredericton Inn has hoped on board this weekend to sponsor Saturday night’s Points Racing.

The ladies of the night will be trying the same heats, dashes and features as the Coast Tire Street Stock division. The drivers of the Coast Tire Street Stock division give up their car for this event. Fans can expect to see some exciting racing as the girls always put on a good show.

This weekend there will also be Regular Points racing in all three divisions. The CARQUEST Pro Stocks, Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman and Coast Tire Street Stock will be roaring through the Geary woods at their usual start time of 7:00pm this Saturday night. NBIS hasn’t had a great year with Mother Nature washing out many events this season. However; this week the 2006 schedule has been revised to accommodate the new dates for any rained out events. Please check out the schedule online for any revised dates.

The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman division will have a busy weekend this weekend. On Saturday they will take part in regular points racing at NBIS and on Sunday they will take part in Part 2 of the Liteco Challenge at Riverglade Speedway. Start time for this race will be 2:00pm. Come to Riverglade and cheer on the your favourite NBIS Sportsman driver.

Speed Weekend is approaching very Fast! There is only 8 more days until the official start of Speed Weekend with the Bridges Farms Corn Boil starting at 7:00pm. This will be the kick off to the 6th Annual Speed Weekend 2006. This weekend has many events in store with the O’Leary Pontiac Excitement Sportsman 150 on Saturday and the feature event of the weekend, The Irving Oil Pro Stock 250, on Sunday. Please check out www.nbisonline.com for more details regarding start times and events.
