PIERRE BOURQUE READY FOR SASKATOON STOP IN THE AARON’S DREAM MACHINE

Ottawa, ON (August 3, 2010) NASCAR driver Pierre Bourque has some unfinished business to attend to at Saskatoon’s Auto Clearing Motor Speedway where he will again be behind the wheel of the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge for the next scheduled event of Canadian NASAR series.

After a strong showing that was cut short by a three-car wreck last Saturday evening at Vernon, BC, Bourque is anxious to get back into the Dream Machine to pick up where he was forced to leave off. "We have a fantastic car that is ready to run with the leaders. I can hardly wait for the Velocity Prairie Thunder 250 to begin."

This is the final of three consecutive events in western Canada. Bourque is looking forward to another exciting event in the west and showing off the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge to a sell-out crowd.

The series visited Auto Clearing Speedway for the first time in 2009 and it was also the first ever midweek event for the race teams. “Everyone wondered how big a crowd there would be for a Wednesday night race” said Bourque. “But as soon as we saw the how fast the grand stands filled up we knew it would be a special night. During the autograph session and after the race we met so many wonderful people, it was a great time” he added.

Having a beautiful racing facility is another attraction for the fans and the teams. “This is a fun one third mile track with high banks in the corners” stated Bourque. “It is a good track to drive the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge to really push the performance envelope” he added.

Bourque is also looking for a solid finish at Auto Clearing Speedway with the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge to boost his position in the overall championship standings. “Getting caught up in that Vernon incident was a big disappointment but we still managed to a hang onto the top-ten in points” said the driver. “If we get the kind of finishing result we’re expecting in Saskatoon then we can move up in the standings, we’re only 14 points from ninth and 24 points from eighth overall” he stated. "With a little bit of the ol' Aaron's Lucky Dog behind us, we're looking for a strong top 10 finish in the race and a jump up in the standings. That's our goal for Saskatoon. It's doable."

Racing action begins on track with practice for Pierre Bourque in the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge at 1:30PM, qualifying takes place at 5PM and the green flag for the 250 lap feature is at 7:30PM.
