PT COLBORNE, ON - Although the early season weather has not been kind, The New Humberstone Speedway will kickoff the Victoria Holiday Weekend into High Gear. Friday May 20th and Sunday May 22nd , the 1/3 mile clay action track will be the sight of the first doubleheader they have hosted in many years.
Friday May 22nd, will be the Annual John Puhl Memorial held on Honour of the Speedway Founder. The Puhl Memorial will feature, Cosco Haulage DIRT-CAR Sportsman, Frontier Auto Dismantler Pure Stocks, along with the Weekend Motorsports Mini Stocks and the Niagara Auto Sales Pro 4 Trucks and the night will also feature an Autograph session as well as finish the night with a Fireworks display.
The Sunday May 22nd portion will be a huge program highlighted by Canada's first ever FASTRAK Late Model Tour event. The FASTRAK Late Models have become the fastest growing division throughout the Eastern States of North and South. The event will be the Canadian Championships brought to you by: Sweeney Chevrolet, Buick and GMC and their website is: www.sweeneycars.com along with local sponsorship by Peters Excavating and Brian's Tire Repair. Also on the program will be the return of the 358 Modifieds back by popular demand for the first of several visits in 2011 as well as the Brian's Tire Repair Street Stocks and an Eve Of Destruction Qualifier 30 Lap Enduro.
This doubleheader promises to be an action packed weekend whether you enjoy open or closed fender racing of any sort. So be sure to be there as there is something for Everyone!!!
The New Humberstone Speedway is conveniently located 2 miles East of of Port Colborne on Highway 3 and just 17 miles West of the Buffalo / Fort Erie border at the Peace Bridge. Please remember the weekly switch to Friday nights. Racing will start 7:15 sharp with the pits opening at 5:00 pm and the grandstands at 6:00pm.
