APC Enduro All-Star Race, Twin POWERADE Modified Features to run on ISMA Night

Delaware, ON (September 7, 2006): Delaware Speedway has revised its schedule of events for Friday, September 29 to accommodate two races lost due to rain this past Saturday, September 2nd. The POWERADE Modifieds will run time trial qualifying and two 20-lap features. Both feature races will count for championship points. The APC Enduro All-Star feature will run as the final race on September 29.

Friday, September 29 is the night that the ISMA Super Modifieds make their highly anticipated return. It will be ISMA’s first race at Delaware Speedway in over twenty years.

The POWERADE Modifieds, originally scheduled for a 40-lap feature event on September 29, will instead run double 20-lap feature races. The event is still open to all Ontario asphalt Modified cars (visiting drivers should contact Race Director Jeff Wilcox at 519-652-5068 ext. 203). The increased payout posted for the event will stand and will be paid based upon a driver’s average finish of the two races. Any ties will be broken by time trial qualifying times. The starting lineups will be determined based upon a two-dice inversion (the first race inversion will be rolled by the fast qualifier and the second race inversion will be rolled by the first race winner).

The APC Enduro class will run their feature race only. The starting lineup will be determined based upon a three-dice inversion. The top forty competitors in the APC Enduro points (as of the August 12th race) are eligible to compete. It is, however, a non-points event.

APC Enduro cars must pit in the turns three and four area of the infield and will be subject to technical inspection by their trailers, in the infield. Enduro cars are not to roll through the tech garage pre-race.

For Enduro teams, families and fans that will be attending both days (the Enduro Nationals are Saturday, September 30), a two-day general admission pass will be made available at the track’s souvenir booth during the APC Enduro 250 on Saturday, September 9 only. The two-day advance pass will be $45.00 for Adults, $25.00 for Seniors and $10.00 for Children (6 to 12 years of age). This pass is being made available to help alleviate the cost of running/attending on the special event day (September 29) in addition to the Enduro Nationals on September 30.
