NCTS: WHITLOCK TO RACE IN NEW NASCAR CANADIAN TIRE SERIES IN 2007

Wyoming, ON, Wednesday Sept. 13, 2006: Dave Whitlock is pleased to announce that they will be taking part in the new NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2007. NASCAR, NASCAR Canada and Canadian Tire jointly announced yesterday at a ceremony in downtown Toronto, the new NASCAR Canadian Tire Series which will replace the CASCAR Super Series in 2007.

"All of us at Whitlock Motorsports are thrilled about being able to particpate in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series next year," stated Whitlock from his Wyoming, ON racing facility. "The future of stock car racing in Canada just got a lot brighter and the NASCAR household name will no doubt afford all of us great new opportunities as we rely on NASCAR's fifty years of experience."

NASCAR also announced that tracks and event dates will be announced over the coming months. It is expected that the schedule will be similar to the eleven race 2006 CASCAR schedule which approximately 400,000 Canadian racing fans attended. Whitlock Motorsports is a professional racing business located in Wyoming, ON just outside of Sarnia. The 5,000 square foot dedicated motorsports facility houses up to eight race cars, a chassis dyno and all the necessary tools to field a competitive two car race team. Dave Whitlock boasts three National Championships, 1991, 1997 and 1998 along with several top three National Championship finishes, while teammate Mark Dilley has one National Championship to his credit in 1994. Both teams have consistently posted finishes in the Top Six in the National Point Standings since Dilley joined the Whitlock team in 1999.
