DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 makes its fourth visit to Edmonton (Alberta) City Centre Airport on Sunday, July 25 for the Canadian Tire 100 presented by Konica Minolta.
It is the 2010 season’s fifth event. It is the third of five road-course races. Additionally, it is the start of the series’ three-race swing through Western Canada with Motoplex Speedway in Vernon, B.C., and Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, Sask., to follow. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of selected drivers in Edmonton, as well as some statistical trends:
Ron Beauchamp Jr. (No. 60 Mopar/Mobil 1 Dodge)
· Had a career-best finish of sixth in last year’s Edmonton event
· Has finished inside the top 10 in four of last six road-course events dating back to the 2009 season
· One of seven drivers to start all 42 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series races, to date
· Has 10 top-10 finishes in last 13 outings dating back to last season
Pierre Bourque (No. 00 Aaron’s Dodge)
· Has finished 17th (2007) and 12th (2009) in his two previous Edmonton starts
· Has competed in all four NASCAR Canadian Tire Series events this season after having been a part-time competitor in each of the series’ first three seasons
· Finished a series career-best sixth in the 2010 season opener at Delaware (Ont.) Speedway
Mark Dilley (No. 9 PartSource/Dickies Dodge)
· Finished a career-best eighth in last year’s event in Edmonton
· Finished 11th (2007) and ninth (2008) in other two races on the airport course
· Has posted top-10 finishes in four of last six road-course starts dating back to 2009
· Has five top 10s in last eight outings, overall
JR Fitzpatrick (No. 84 Schick Hydro Chevrolet)
· Won 2007 Edmonton race with a dramatic last-lap pass of Andrew Ranger
· Has top-five finishes in other two Edmonton outings – fourth in 2008 and second in 2009
· Has won two of the last three series’ two road-course races – Montreal (2009) and Mosport
· Collected his fifth series victory on June 13 at Mosport Int’l Raceway

· Logged a career-best 10th-place finish in Edmonton a season ago
· Posted a pair of runner-up finishes on road courses – Mosport and Trois-Rivieres --- last season
