Second Triple Crown Race This Friday Night! Line-up includes NASCAR Late Models, Powerade Modifieds, Demar Aggregates Trucks
London, Ontario- The second race in our 2010 Triple Crown series goes Friday night, July 23rd, as part of an exciting night of racing sponsored by Coca-Cola.
The Triple Crown gives racers another opportunity to earn NASCAR points (if they are NASCAR members) and to accumulate Delaware Speedway points. For the fans, it's yet another exciting Late Model series. The third Triple Crown race goes August 20th. Complete rules and format are available at http://www.delawarespeedway.com/.
Ron Sheridan tops the NASCAR Late Model points with Scott Lindsay 20 points back. Sheridan and Lindsay followed Jonathan Urlin to Victory Lane last Friday night. However, after a few weeks off with a back injury, defending division champ Steve Robblee says he's ready to getback out on the track on Friday. Robblee's return will make it a thrilling battle.
Just nine points separate Powerade Modifieds leader Jamie Cox from Barrie Newman and the point’s race tightens up even further down in the top five.
Point’s leader and defending champ Paul Fothergill hopes to rack up another win in Demar Aggregates Trucks. Derek Clark's shoulder injury will keep him from being behind the wheel of his #7 and Michelle Koricina will be looking for her second win of the season.
The spectator gate opens at 6 pm and the green flag flies at 8 pm sharp. Don't forget about our delicious hot-dogs for just a toonie, between 6 and 7 pm.
Tickets are now on sale online for The Delaware Classic - August 6 & 7 - the only Canadian stop for ISMA this year! Weekend passes are 25% off and ticket prices are slashed until the end of the month, if you buy online at http://www.delawarespeedway.com/.
