Surgeon Joins G1 Racing Crew for Indy

The G1 Racing team had an extra crew member during the Indy race at Toronto recently when surgeon Andrew Burns joined the team for the weekend. Joining the crew on pit lane and watch the action right from the track, he caught first-hand the thrill of racing.At a recent "William Osler Health System Foundation" charity fundraiser, Andrew Burns drew the winning ticket to win a place on the G1 Racing crew for a day. Wearing the surgeon's cap at the Cardiology Department of the Etobicoke General Hospital during the week, he replaced it with a Castrol cap for the experience he will never forget.

Andrew Burns said "Well I would have to say it was fantastic. From the moment I got here the team was very welcoming. They got me to work very quickly and I got the best seat in the house."The G1 Racing team have partnered with the William Osler Health System Foundation to help raise funds for health care in the Greater Toronto Area. The "Crew Member for a Day" program has been very successful and has helped raise $15,000 at the Charity Banquet.
