Ottawa, ON (July 30th, 2010) Pierre Bourque in the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge will be looking to keep his positive momentum going at the next event of the Canadian NASCAR series this coming Saturday night at Motoplex Speedway near Vernon, BC.
The three race western swing for Canadian NASCAR series teams began last week in Edmonton and at the end of the race the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge driver had improved his position in the overall standings to ninth. “It’s funny how things work out sometimes” said Bourque. “We didn’t have the kind of day we hoped for, but other guys had their troubles too and the result is we moved up in the standings” he added.
Bourque realizes this weeks contest at Motoplex Speedway will be another tough test for the #00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Dodge team but also sees a great opportunity. “This is a tough track but a fun track” said the driver. “The high banks make it fast and exciting to drive and knowing how well our car has performed on ovals we’re expecting to do well again” he stated.
With another solid finish the Bourque has the opportunity to make another significant leap in the overall championship. “Heading into this race we’re only eleven points out of eighth spot overall, and twenty points from seventh. We’ve got a good shot at taking another couple of steps up the standings this weekend” he concluded.
